    En 1985 Miguel Littín regresa de manera clandestina a Chile y realiza este documental sobre la realidad política de su país. Incluye testimonios de García Márquez, Fidel Castro y Hortensia Bussi. Igualmente se muestra el Chile de Augusto Pinochet y el de Salvador Allende.

    Exiled Chilean director Miguel Littin smuggled himself and three European camera crews into Chile to film this four-part documentary on the history and results of dictator Augusto Pinochet's rise to power. In the first part of the documentary, Pinochet's supporters and opponents are interviewed. But at the same time, Littin includes interviews with the families of the "desaparecidos" (disappeared) who wereen illegally imprisoned and murdered by Pinochet. Some of the results of his reign, such as rampant poverty in certain sectors of the country are also highlighted. Next comes a segment on the northern section of the country and its history, then an hour is dedicated to the opposition forces, including Pablo Neruda. Pinochet's dictatorship forbids anyone to visit Neruda's home on the coast. Lastly, the emotionally wrenching re-enactment of the assassination of Salvador Allende caps off an incredible journey.
