Please note that the regulations and applications procedure of the Hubert Bals Fund for project entries have recently changed.

Due to a decrease in the available budget, the HBF has reviewed its policies and regulations for 2014. Therefore, not all funding categories will be open for applications these coming rounds. Please note that:

    for the 2015 Spring selection round, the HBF will only consider applications for Script and Project Development.
    for the current 2014 Fall selection round, the HBF is considering applications for Script and Project Development and Postproduction/Final Financing.

The next deadline for project entries is 1 March 2015.

El Hubert Bals Fund ofrece ayudas para la realización de largometrajes de ficción y documental de realizadores talentosos y creativos, procedentes de países en vías de desarrollo. El HBF realiza aportes en metálico que resultan cruciales para la culminación de estos proyectos. Aunque el fondo presta especial atención al aspecto financiero del proyecto, los factores decisivos siguen siendo los artísticos. Desde su inicio en 1988, cerca de 600 proyectos de cineastas independientes de Asia, Medio Oriente, Europa del Este, África y América Latina han recibido apoyo. Cerca del 80% de estos proyectos se han realizado o están actualmente en fase de producción.
